This young girl is having to start making a fire and then do some cooking for the family..in this area no one escapes work…even the men have work to do.. A shepherd tends to his sheep..night and day…a farmer plants his crops as soon as the rains come and the girls and women fetch wood and water, make fires and pound millet so they can eat. If ever you get the chance to shake hands with one of the labourers in this part of the lords vineyard feel the palms of their hands.and know that life is really tough out in the Sahel..
