Cataract surgery for one lucky lady

This is a special weekend for one lucky Lady, I have known this lady for 16 years..Her young Nigerian husband died a few years ago.
So was left with three children to bring up in a foreign country, in Diema, Mali.

Aside from other health issues, I watched as she’s gradually gone blind over the past 3 years.
Sadly it wasn’t diagnosed when we had our cataract surgery programme.
However I’ve managed to have a team from The Church of Jesus Christ of latter-day saints include her in their surgery programme beginning on Monday 25th October.
After discussing the situation with my chief in Mali, Eric , one of our local headmasters, he has arranged the budget to include transport, accommodation etc from our funds for Ami and her son to travel to Bamako.
Here she is just leaving Diema earlier this afternoon.
I’m so looking forward to seeing the video of her return next week.
We’re very grateful for your continued support enabling us to assist those who have issues such as these..
Thankyou so much.
